Strategy and Business Units
Strategy
To create value for all its stakeholders, ALFA has developed a strategy aimed at capturing growth opportunities from its current and related businesses, both organically and through acquisitions.
In line with this objective, ALFA has undertaken an unlocking value plan based on three Strategic Principles, four Long-term Priorities, and two Financial Parameters.
Principles
1. CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP
ALFA continues to make progress in building a culture of corporate citizenship in its businesses, combining their economic, social, and environmental value through its sustainability model, based on the company’s values and its four pillars: Internal Well-being, Community, Environment, and Economy.
2. INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP
In consistency with our mission, ALFA works to generate value for its stakeholders through leadership, innovation, and outstanding performance, and by strengthening its businesses for growth in key markets.
3. FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE
ALFA’s business units have strategies and investment plans designed to achieve their objectives by taking advantage of the skills they have developed over time. ALFA studies the macroeconomic business assumptions on which its companies’ investment plans are based, to ensure that its financial goals are achieved. ALFA also ensures that these individual plans align with its long-term strategic objectives.
Long-term Priorities
- Through the Unlocking Value plan, ALFA reaffirms its commitment to reduce the conglomerate discount. Faced with a dynamic environment and with a solid financial position that gives it greater flexibility in terms of time, the Company evaluates, selects and executes in an orderly manner the alternatives to move towards a model of more independent companies.
