One of ALFA’s ongoing goals is to minimize the environmental impact of its operations through:
- Comply with environmental legislation in the countries where the Company operates
- Promote practices and procedures that generate an increasingly environmentally friendly operation
- Invest in the prevention, reduction, or elimination of their negative impact on nature
- Strengthen environmental care in daily activities
- Respond to the containment of incidents that may represent a risk to the environment in a timely and responsible manner
- Contribute to a better environmental performance in the value chain
- Promote a culture of environmental awareness among our collaborators and the community
Main lines of actions
We are committed to seeking initiatives for energy eco-efficiency and reduction of carbon emissions in our operations that contribute to limiting global warming.
We promote the efficient use of this vital resource in our companies, especially in the current conditions of scarcity and shortage at a global level.

CONSUMO ENERGÉTICO
Los diferentes programas e iniciativas implementados por ALFA y las Unidades de Negocio lograron reducciones de cerca de 55,000 GJ en diversos procesos. Esto representa el consumo de 1,304 casas en un año (cálculo de la EPA).

DESEMPEÑO CDP
ALFA y las Unidades de Negocio participan en la iniciativa de evaluación internacional CDP. A nivel consolidado ALFA mantuvo su calificación C para las categorías de Cambio Climático y Agua, y las Unidades de Negocio mejoraron las suyas.
