Integrated Academic System

ALFA Fundación provides young people with support throughout 10 years of their academic careers, from high school to university.

ALFA Fundación’s educational project is designed as an educational response within the framework of diversity that seeks to favor the full participation and development of the multiple capacities of talented students so that they become upstanding professionals and citizens who are committed to their communities.

Extra-academic  Centers

After identifying talented young people with potential in public high schools in the areas surrounding the extra-academic centers, they are invited to an evening program with advanced classes in Spanish, English, math, and science. There are currently 3 extra-academic centers in Monterrey, Escobedo, and San Nicolás, in the Monterrey metropolitan area, in Mexico.

High School

Approximately 50% of the students enrolled in the extra-academic centers attend the ALFA Fundación High School, which offers a full-time and high-achieving educational program.

Support for College or University Education

In their last year of high school, students apply for scholarships at prestigious national and international universities. The students receive support to help ensure they graduate and obtain a college or university degree.

Educational model

ALFA Fundación’s educational model is composed of two educational models: active and student-centered learning.

Active learning offers students a leading role in their learning by involving them in challenging activities such as posing questions, solving problems, sharing results, and learning from others in a process of continuous knowledge building.

Student-Centered learning is based on the students having the capacity to transform and improve themselves and their environment through a holistic educational process that addresses cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Student Profile

ALFA Fundación focuses on public school students who stand out for their intellectual capacity, creativity, and drive. They are selected through an assessment test and are supported from junior high through college.

ALFA Fundación students are known for being creative, responsible, supportive, critical, inquisitive, principled, and good leaders.
